Online Renewals for Montgomery County Residents

You must be a current Montgomery County resident or an active duty soldier with Tennessee as your home of record to renew on this site. Your order will be processed within one business day of receipt. Please allow two to three days for postal delivery. If you need faster processing please visit the Montgomery County Clerk's Office at 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 502.

Not all plates can be processed online; only those vehicles with a plate that can be verified on the local county computer system. This may prevent some transactions from being processed. If you have a special class of plate that requires proof of membership, you can not renew online. If you have any questions please contact our office at 931-648-5711.

The processing fee is 2% of the total plate cost plus $1.00. You will also pay the mail fee of $2.00. Some e-mail filters and spam blockers can prevent you from receiving the confirmation e-mails generated by the web-server. To process your renewal online, you will need the following:

1. Valid credit card (VISA or MasterCard)

2. License plate

3. Your plates expiration date can not be more than 90 days away.
