"Marriage Book 1, 1838-1845" is now available from the Montgomery County Archives. This booklet's format is similar to the first marriage book itself and includes an every-name index for groom, bride, bondsman, and official. It may be ordered from the Montgomery County Archives, P.O. Box 323, Clarksville, TN 37041-0323. The cost is $10.00 if you would like to come in and pick up a copy. If you wish to order a copy and receive it by mail, the cost will be $12.50 ($10.00 plus $2.50 postage). All orders must be prepaid. Sorry, no credit cards at this time. Available at the Montgomery County Archives - Reproduction of the 1877 D. G. Beers & Company map of Montgomery County, Tennessee. The map is 34" x 49" and full color. The map illustrates the 20 Civil Districts of 1877, and the City of Clarksville. Insets include State Line [Guthrie], Port Royal, New Providence, and Palmyra. Also shown on the map are businesses and proprietors of both the city and county, and local population figures for 1870. The map is $55.00 at the Archives.
