Hazardous Waste Collection Events

In the event you have Household Hazardous Waste to dispose of please see the list of counties below that will be hosting an upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Collection event.
- March 20, 2010 â Montgomery County
- June 5, 2010 â Stewart County
If you miss the event for Montgomery or Stewart County, you may attend one of the following collection events:
- May 8, 2010 â Robertson County
- May 8, 2010 - Williamson County
- May 22, 2010 - Henry County

During hazardous waste collection events we will accept up to 100 pounds of items such as household cleaners; automotive products; home, lawn and garden products; home maintenance products; and miscellaneous items such as old computers, batteries, pool chemicals, photoprocessing chemicals, medicines and drugs, aerosols and compressed gas. (view EPA list of common household items containing potentially hazardous ingredients). No dioxins or ammunition is allowed. Please contact the Bi-County office at (931) 648-5751 with any questions.
Please note that the following potentially hazardous household items are accepted at the landfill located at 3212 Dover Road for recycling during normal hours of operation in addition to being accepted at hazardous waste collection events.
- latex paint
- used cooking oil
- electronic waste (computers & tvâs)
Hazardous Waste Collection Event Restrictions
No liquids, ashes, RCRA hazardous wastes, or radioactive materials are accepted.
