Mike Frost, Highway Department Supervisor
Mike Frost is a lifelong County resident and educated in Clarksville/Montgomery County, Tennessee. He graduated from Clarksville High School in 1970 and attended the University of Tennessee at Nashville.
Mike is currently a member of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce, Austin Peay State University Governors Club, Tennessee County Highway Officials Association Region III, American Public Works Association Tennessee Chapter and the Montgomery County Farm Bureau.
He began his construction career in 1972 with J. A. Reece Construction Company where he was employed until 1982. At that time he started his employment with the Montgomery County Highway Department. He has worked for the Highway department 24 Years and has held several positions including; Traffic Control Foreman, Bridge Foreman, and Grade Foreman. He was promoted to General Foreman in 1991 and to Assistant Highway Supervisor in 1993. He held the position of Assistant Highway Supervisor for 13 years. He was then appointed to serve as Montgomery County Highway Supervisor in January 2006 by the Montgomery County Commission in a special election by a unanimous vote to fill the vacant position left by the untimely death of then Supervisor, Doug Black.
Mike was elected to the Office of Highway Supervisor in the August 2006 General Election.
He is married to the former Sandra Norfleet, a teacher in the Clarksville Montgomery County School System. They have one son, Dan. They are members of the First Baptist Church of Clarksville and reside in the Sango community.
