Montgomery County Parks & Facilities


Montgomery County Parks and Recreation (MCPR) currently administers two athletic complexes in St. Bethlehem/Civitan Park and Woodlawn Park. Also overseen by the department a 100-acre natural area, Rotary Park.

Parks & Facilities

  • St. Bethlehem/Civitan Park St. Bethlehem Civitan Park is a 50-acre Community Park located at the end of Bellamy Lane in the Saint Bethlehem Community. The park is comprised of both youth and adult ballfields, and is designated as the home of the Saint Bethlehem Little League.

    The St. Bethlehem Civitan park is located at 650 Bellamy Lane, and offers the following features:

    2 Grills 4 picnic shelters
    Concession building Restrooms
    4 baseball fields 4 softball fields
  • Woodlawn Park - Woodlawn Park is a 56-acre Community Park located just off on Lylewood Road in the Woodlawn Community. The park is designated as the home of the Woodlawn Little League. The park is located at: 2910 Woodlawn Park Road, and offers the following features:

    1 Playground Area 3 Grills 2 softball fields
    2 Tennis Courts 3 picnic shelters Concession/meeting room
    3 Basketball Courts 4 baseball fields Restroom
  • Rotary Park Rotary Park is a 100-acre nature park located on Rotary Drive, near the Sango area of Montgomery County. It is easily accessible one block southeast of the Highway 76/Highway 41 intersection. Boasting over five miles of hiking/biking trails, and a large ADA-accessible playground. Rotary Park is located at: 2308 Rotary Park Drive, and offers the following features:

    1 Playground Area Hiking/biking trails 3 pavilions
    Picnic Tables & 4 grills Outdoor amphitheater Youth camping area
    25 acres of open space 3 restroom buildings Sand volleyball court
  • Here is a breakdown of the costs associated with pavilion rentals at Rotary Park:
    Large pavilion (12 picnic tables): $50 per day.
    Creek-side pavilion (6 picnic tables): $25 per day.
    Small pavilion (4 picnic tables): $25 per day.
  • Cumberland Heights - Cumberland Heights Community Center is on Cumberland Heights Road in the Cumberland Heights Community. The site was the former Cumberland Heights Elementary Gym and play area. The adjacent building (old elementary school building) serves as office space for the University of Tennessee Extension, Tennessee State Forestry and Montgomery County Parks and Recreation. The park is located at: 1030 Cumberland Heights Road, and offers the following features:

    1 Playground Area Community Building 2 storage rooms
    3 Picnic Tables Open Gym Restrooms
    Half acre of open space Office
  • South Guthrie - The South Guthrie Community Center is located at the Kentucky state border off Guthrie Road in the Warfield Community. The site was the former Warfield School built in 1922 with Rosenwald School funds. The site serves as the home of the South Guthrie Improvement Association. The Community Center offers the following features:

    1 Playground Area Community Building Library
    3 Picnic Tables Large meeting room Office
    1 acre of open space Kitchen Restrooms
    Trash Free Park

    In an effort to promote environmental stewardship, trash receptacles are no longer located throughout the park and park users must take out whatever is brought in with them. Families are still welcome and encouraged to picnic in the park, but they must be responsible for taking their trash with them when they leave. This keeps the park clean and the surroundings visual appealing for other visitors. This program has been a great success and has been adopted by other communities across the country.

    Rotary Park Scavengers hunts were created by Deanna Heistand and Anna Shackleford of Girl Scout Troop 2378. Follow the links below to view each of the scavenger hunt items and locations.

Hiking/Biking

Rotary Park maintains over five miles of hiking and biking trails for your enjoyment. Terrain ranges from mostly flat and leisurely to fairly steep and rugged. Horses are not permitted in the park.

Help keep pathways pleasant for all by following a few simple trail etiquette rules.

Picnicing

St. Bethlehem/Civitan Park, Rotary Park and Woodlawn Park all maintain areas to picnic, lunch or plan a major family gathering! Picnic tables are abundant at all facilities. Picnic pavilions may be reserved at Rotary Park. All other picnic pavilions are available on a first come/first serve basis.
