The role of the Internal Audit Department is to provide an objective, independent appraisals of procedures and other operational systems in departments as a service to all levels of management and the Montgomery County Board of County Commissioners. These appraisals help ensure that Montgomery County Government's assets and resources are adequately protected, departments are operating effectively and efficiently, and complying with applicable policies.
