Daylight Savings Time starts on March 14th and ends on November 7th.

In order to receive holiday pay, an employee must be in active payroll status and have worked the scheduled workdays immediately before and after the holiday (excluding the use of vacation or sick time). Should an employee have to work on a designated holiday, the employee will be entitled to another day off or another day’s pay as compensation.

If a holiday falls within an employee’s vacation period, the day will be treated as a holiday and not as a vacation day. If an employee is off sick the day before and/or the day after a holiday, the manager may request a doctor's certificate in order for the employee to be eligible for holiday pay. Holiday pay is paid at straight time hours and it does not count toward the calculation of overtime in the holiday week.
