Montgomery County Parks & Facilities
Montgomery County Parks and Recreation (MCPR) currently administers two athletic complexes in St. Bethlehem/Civitan Park and Woodlawn Park. Also overseen by the department a 100-acre natural area, Rotary Park.
Parks & Facilities
- St. Bethlehem/Civitan Park 650 Bellamy Lane. Civitan Park is comprised of both youth and adult ballfields, three (3) picnic pavilions and open green space for passive recreation.
- Woodlawn Park 2910 Woodlawn Park Road. Woodlawn Park is a community park located at the northwest part of the county. It includes adult and youth ballfields, a small playground, two (2) tennis courts, two (2) basketball courts, three (3) picnic pavilions and open green space for passive recreation.
- Rotary Park 2308 Rotary Park Drive. Rotary Park is a 100-acre nature park located on Rotary Drive, near the Sango area of Montgomery County. It is easily accessible one block southeast of the Highway 76/Highway 41 intersection. Boasting over five miles of hiking/biking trails, one large pavilion, two small pavilions, a large ADA-accessible playground, and restroom facilities.
In an effort to promote environmental stewardship, trash receptacles are no longer located throughout the park and park users must take out whatever is brought in with them. Families are still welcome and encouraged to picnic in the park, but they must be responsible for taking their trash with them when they leave. This keeps the park clean and the surroundings visual appealing for other visitors. This program has been a great success and has been adopted by other communities across the country.
Hiking/Biking
Rotary Park maintains over five miles of hiking and biking trails for your enjoyment. Terrain ranges from mostly flat and leisurely to fairly steep and rugged. Horses are not permitted in the park.
Help keep pathways pleasant for all by following a few simple trail etiquette rules.
Picnicing
St. Bethlehem/Civitan Park, Rotary Park and Woodlawn Park all maintain areas to picnic, lunch or plan a major family gathering! Picnic tables are abundant at all facilities. Picnic pavilions may be reserved at Rotary Park. All other picnic pavilions are available on a first come/first serve basis.
